Carl Dahlstedt, a Chicago-based designer, opened his first boutique, C.Dahlstedt, located in the heart of Wicker Park. The showroom sells men’s and women’s clothing, all of which are designed and manufactured in Chicago.
C.Dahlstedt’s aesthetic is based on simplistic designs, with a strong focus on quality. What the collection achieves is a modern twist on timeless silhouettes, using unexpected details such as lining in cashmere and over-sized zippers, and a new take on the classic men’s button-downs. The line aims to be one of a kind for Chicago, offering European fabrics with a Chicagoan sensibility.
