Its been a while. Missed me? Well I brought you the present of spring fashions for 2012. I hope you forgive me! I’ve been terribly busy. High school and volleyball is kicking my booty at the moment. However, there’s a ton of new stuff! I love the spring air with all the smells of flowers and freshly mowed lawns. And don’t forget that long awaited spring break is coming up. (;

Don’t be afraid of bright colors! Be bold and be brave with your fashion choices. Bright colors look great on everyone.
Pair a cool top with bright pants or vice versa. You really can’t go wrong. I love the third outfit in this picture. I think the tie die shirt and red pants work so well together. Wearing bright colors is also great on vacation, whether your going skiing or showing off your tan!

A great way to get an amazing tan is with an amazing swimsuit. Strut your stuff on the beach! These all help if you have a smaller bust (like me!). They lift and draw attention. (:

These all show you off if you have a sporty shape. Tall and long lean legs? These are perfect for you. They draw attention to your toned legs and stomach.

Just please, I BEG OF YOU, don’t go wearing things you wouldn’t wear around your grandma. No one wants to see that! (no offense babe).

Alina Patris

We would like to introduce Alina Patris, our teen blogger.  Alina is Chicago born and raised, and she loves fashion, music and volleyball.  She has done some magazine and ad modeling, and has also participated in LFW, at our Teen day runway show.   Alina likes to share with our teen readers some of her fashion ideas and observations.  She would love to hear from all of you regarding your ideas about fashion, music, the arts, or whatever you think is important for LFW to know.

We hope you will join us at the Zhou B. Art Center on Thursday, November 3^rd, for the LFW Teen Day Fashion Show and Family Pavilion.  There will be an  AWSUM panel, followed by a full teen fashion runway show, where designer Jorge Perez de la Habana will premier his Quinceañera line. Alina will be there, as will Zoë Damacela, designer and Seventeen Magazine’s “Pretty Amazing” cover winner, Nicole Suarez, Nuestra Belleza Latina of Chicago, and other great surprises.  We look forward to seeing you there.

Then here’s me, since I’m not really a skirt person.

I put on some jeggings and a cute little belt I got at a thrift store with one of my favorite sweaters. Then I threw that hoodie over it to give it a laid back feel and so I don’t freeze. And the earrings, though you can’t see them too well, are from Francesca’s. (: Not my best photo but you get the idea.
Also, I suggest you stock up on some cool rain or snow boots! Across the country it’s going to be a pretty bad winter.
