Arabel Alva Rosales is an entrepreneur that has been described in Chicago Magazine as a “Renaissance Woman” because of her ability to discuss concerns on Wall Street, global issues and what is happening in our communities. She is also recognized for having a critical eye for art and fashion. She is known for genuinely loving her life and not being afraid of bringing together highly skilled teams that use innovative methods and technology to achieve what others deem impossible. Her life is a great representation of the American success story. With her parents being of Mexican descent, they instilled being bilingual/bicultural with a strong work ethic. Arabel is the President and CEO of AAR & Assocs., Ltd., (AAR), a full breadth technology firm with more than a decade under its belt. As President, she oversees a company that utilizes technology to transform both private and public sector entities into exceptionally run organizations. Arabel is also co-owner and Co-Executive Producer of Latino Fashion Week, the only full week dedicated to Latino Fashion in the country. “This endeavor has allowed me to use my business acumen, my wide variety of contacts, and my creative side to its fullest,” says Arabel. One of Arabel’s most recent developments is Star Modeling, a subsidiary of Latino Fashion Week. She is one of the co-founders as well as an instructor for Self-Esteem and Public Speaking. Star Modeling is a school that has teachers dedicated to the development and growth of its students, with the purpose of creating models for the fashion industry and the tools to succeed in life.

Arabel has often been quoted in the media as a Hispanic business leader and a note worthy expert on issues that affect women, and issues within the Latino community. Often featured in the pages of both the business and fashion press, her media and public speaking contributions include: Crain’s Chicago Business, front cover of the August 2004 issue of Chicago Magazine “Latina Style”; front cover of Hoy Newspaper; Dinero Magazine, “The Arabel touch”; Catalina Magazine “Getting on Boards”; ABC’s The Ñ Beat; Univision “Nuestra Gente”; WGN “El Show de Juan Carlos”; Chicago Tribune’s “Handling the Summer with Poise”; she was featured on the front cover of Today’s Chicago Woman, numerous times, including the Hall of Fame edition. She has also appeared on 60 minutes, CNN, and U.S.A. Today. Arabel has been honored with over 30 national and local awards.

Arabel received her Undergraduate degree in Liberal Arts with a major in Business Administration from, 1990. She went on to obtain her Juris Doctorate degree from DePaul College of Law, 2002; where she has also been a recipient of the Leadership Scholarship Award and Mayor Daley’s Leadership Scholarship.

Arabel’s hobbies and interests include: Scuba Diving; Deputy Black Belt Degree, Tae Kwon Do; Bilingual in Spanish/English and she also enjoys reading and writing in both languages.

However, Arabel’s proudest accomplishment is being the mother of a dynamic, energetic and knowledge-seeking thirteen year old daughter. “She keeps me priority focused”, says Arabel.

Cesar Rolon Jr. has an extensive and versatile background in community affairs, marketing, promotions, planning and development. In addition, Cesar has been instrumental in securing over 45 million dollars in grants and donations for various non-for profit organizations.

Cesar has leveraged his creativity and executed one-of-kind campaigns that have benefited many Chicago-based organizations, Latino empowerment efforts, grass root community activities, parent and student organizations, advocacy campaigns and Hispanic cultural activities.

Born to Puerto Rican parents, Cesar Rolon Jr was the first Non–Mexican Executive Director of the Little Village Chamber of Commerce where he refined the redevelopment of Chicago’s third busiest commercial business strip, 26th street.

Cesar Rolon also became the first Executive Director of the Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce of Illinois. Within 12 months he founded the first Annual Hispanic Women’s Business Conference, young Latino entrepreneur’s project and was part of the planning and fundraising committee for El Paseo Boricua – also known as the Puerto Rican Passage.

Cesar’s diverse and extensive marketing background has lead to him to create on-premise and off-premise spirit and beer campaigns for companies such as Miller Coors, Diageo (Nuvo, Kettle One, Smirnoff and Johnny Walker and Don Julio) Hennessey, Bacardi USA, Martell Cognac and Jack Daniels. Campaigns included, Don Julio Flight Parties, Jack Daniels Latino Comedy Tour and Vicente Fernandez Concert Tours, Martell Blue Groove Lounges, Cuervoton national singing competition sponsored by Cuervo Tequila, Bacardi USA Golf Tournaments, Nuvo fashion lounges, Hennessey Muevete Tour, Johnny Walker Indy 500 Tours, Smirnoff Flavor lounges and Emboricuate beer campaign for Miller Coors. He also managed celebrity spirit tours that included Vicente Fernandez, Mary J Blige, Christina Aguilera, Kayne West, Ricky Martin and Daddy Yankee just to name a few.

In 2007 Cesar launched Latin Fashion Week – the only Latino Fashion Week in the United States. Latino Fashion Week in now recognized at the source for Latinos trying to break into the fashion world in the United States.

Cesar holds a B.A. degree in International Business and Human Resource from Northeastern Illinois University and has won numerous outstanding community achievement awards.
