On opening night, a purple carpet will be used in place of a red carpet and models will work the catwalk with a specially designed purse by AFPP ambassador Kerry Washington. Purple is the color of domestic violence awareness and a purse represents the center of a woman’s financial domain.
Two-thirds of Hispanic women know someone who has been abused. AFPPhelps raise awareness and makes domestic violence fashionable to talk about.
